Stand Alone - John 20:24-31 - The twin

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”

Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Easter Sunday - Weep No More - The Lion who Conquered Death

Easter Sunday 2025

This week we look at the message of Easter, and in particular the resurrection of Christ and what it means to conquer death.

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

1 Corinthians 15:17-18

What does the bible say about true greatness?

1.GREATNESS: SHARING IN THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST

“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” Mark 10:38

2.GREATNESS: SACRIFICIAL SERVICE OF OTHERS

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

John 7:53 - 8:11 | Grace for your worst day

John 7: 37-39 | Are you thirsty?

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.

Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.”

Isaiah 55 :1 - 3

John 7:11-39 | Clarity in the Confusion

JOHN 6:37

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

1.WHO this promise is for.

2.WHY you can trust his promise.

3. WHAT we need to do about it

John 7:11-39 | Clarity in the Confusion

The Feast of Booths was at hand to commemorate the exodus from Egypt. Those gathered are looking for Jesus, and everyone is discussing who Jesus is. Jesus boldly attends the Feast of Booths, where He enters the temple and begins to teach. Here he explains His purpose and authority to the onlookers, and rebukes the Jews on their hypocrisy and judgement. He explains who He is, but while some believe, others are confused.

He declares: “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

Clarity #3 - Community (1 John 4:7-12)

Clarity #3

In this sermon, we explore what it means to live in a gospel-centered community, where the love of Christ shapes our relationships and interactions. The gospel not only saves us from sin but invites us into the family of God, where we are deeply loved by Him. In response to God’s love, we are called to love one another—though this love can be difficult, it is the essence of Christian unity and forgiveness. As God joyfully watches His children love each other, so too does He desire us to embody this love in tangible ways.

True love isn’t just preached or sung about; it must be expressed through action. Reflecting on the teachings of 1 John and C.S. Lewis, we are reminded that God's love is dynamic, a living activity that calls us to small acts of love today, which prepare us for even greater sacrifices tomorrow. The challenge for the church is to love authentically and selflessly, starting with the everyday moments of grace we share together.

Clarity #2 - Discipleship (John 15:1-5)

Clarity #2

This week we explore what it means to be a disciple of Christ - that all those who become Christians become Disciples. That all discipleship is - or should be - Gospel-centred.

There are two steps to the Christian life, to believe in Him, and to abide in Him.

We also look at the two parts to Gospel discipleship - the Gospel shape and the Gospel power, that the commands of God, are rooted in the Gospel of Christ.
