Galatians 5:1-15 | We Have Freedom in Christ Alone

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

In Galatians 5:1-15, Paul talks to the church about three main areas:

1. Being a slave to the law

2. The freedom in the Gospel

3. The freedom that fulfils the law

Advent 2024 - God With Us - Christmas Eve - The Wise Men

There are three reactions in Matthew 2:1-12 to the news of the birth of Jesus. There was resentment from Herod at the new “King of the Jews”. There was indifference from the Jewish people, who were “troubled” by his coming and did not received him. The Magi, however, sought him out and rejoiced in his coming.

How do we react to the Word of the coming of Jesus?

John 2:19-21 - Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body.

Altar: God will bring us near

Advent 2024 - God With Us - Week 1 - Separation

Matthew 1:18-23

We were created for nearness with God, but during the fall there was broken trust, an act of betrayal, and separation from God. Through the coming of Jesus, we have a way to be clothed in the righteousness of God and draw near to Him once more.
